There is no public dataset of dental crown fees for Las Vegas practices, so we do not publish a “Las Vegas average.” What we can give you is a sourced national benchmark, a checklist for comparing itemized quotes, and current information on how insurance and Nevada Medicaid treat dental care.
CareCredit reports a $1,399 national average for a porcelain crown, with a $915–$3,254 range, from 2023–2024 research. This is a national figure, not a Las Vegas price.

Rather than estimate local figures, we show a sourced national benchmark and help you compare real written quotes from offices you contact.
| Cost item | What to check |
|---|---|
| Crown fee | National benchmark for a porcelain crown: $1,399 average, $915–$3,254 range. |
| Material | Ask which material is quoted. |
| Buildup or root canal | Ask whether preparatory work is expected and billed separately. |
| Temporary and fitting | Confirm the temporary crown and fitting visits are included. |
Representative imageAsk two or three practices for a written, itemized estimate for the same treatment. Ask each office to quote the same tooth and material, and to list any buildup or root canal treatment separately.
Ask whether the quote covers the whole treatment or only one stage, and which follow-up visits are included. A lower headline price that leaves out part of the treatment is not a lower total.
Practices in our Las Vegas listings include Hidy Stavarache, Jason L. Downey, LV Dental, Smile Designers of Las Vegas and Smiles for Life Family Dentistry. Listing is not an endorsement; confirm services and fees directly.
Private dental insurance. Crowns are usually billed as major restorative care, so ask whether waiting periods apply and how much of your annual maximum the crown will use. Ask the office to send a pre-treatment estimate to your plan, and check that the dentist is in your plan’s network. Our dental insurance guide explains how PPO and DHMO networks work.
Nevada Medicaid for adults. Nevada Medicaid limits dental coverage for most adults to emergency services, according to state coverage data compiled as of July 2025. Routine and restorative care is generally not covered for adults. Ask your Medicaid dental plan whether the specific treatment is covered.
Children. Children and young adults under 21 in Nevada Medicaid receive dental coverage under the federal EPSDT benefit, and children in Nevada’s CHIP program also have dental benefits. InsureKidsNow lists participating dentists. See our Medicaid and CHIP guide.
Ask the office to mark each item as included, excluded or not yet determined, so you can compare quotes on the same basis.
