Public corrections log

What we got wrong — and how we fixed it.

Every mistake we have made and corrected, publicly logged. Because a directory that never admits errors is a directory you cannot trust.

Last updated: September 2026

Why we publish corrections

Every credible newsroom has a corrections page. Every credible medical publication has a corrections page. If we are going to claim editorial independence and clinical rigor, we owe you a public log of what we have gotten wrong.

This page is that log. Every correction listed here was made in response to a reader report, a dentist appeal, a state dental board update, or an editor’s own review. Every one is dated. Every one names what we said, what we should have said, and what we changed on the affected page.

To report a correction: email Admin@familydentistryclinic.com with the URL and the specific issue. Correction requests are directed to the editorial team for investigation.

2026 Corrections

September 29, 2026 — Reviewer directory count and attribution

What we said: Our About and Editorial Policy pages described ten dentists, and our Medical Review Process named Dr. Elena Vasquez as Chief Medical Reviewer.

What we changed: Updated the team descriptions to match the 20 published reviewer profiles across three listed categories: Dentist (9), Oral Surgery (9), and Oral Medicine (2). Removed the outdated chief-reviewer attribution and clarified which details the current profiles contain.

September 8, 2026 — License number update, Michigan Ave Implants

What we said: Dr. Kim’s Illinois license was listed as #DDS-31824.

What we should have said: Dr. Kim’s Illinois license is #DDS-31284. Simple transcription error from our credentialing intake.

What we changed: Corrected on Dr. Kim’s profile the same day. Cross-checked all Illinois dentist license numbers against IDFPR records that afternoon.

August 22, 2026 — Miami implant pricing overstated

What we said: Median dental implant cost in Miami: $4,600.

What we should have said: Median dental implant cost in Miami: $4,400. Our previous number included premium Brickell pricing without weighting by clinic volume.

What we changed: Corrected the Miami city page and Florida state cost snapshot. Republished our cost methodology to reflect volume-weighted averaging.

July 30, 2026 — Dr. Rossi’s residency year, incorrect

What we said: Dr. Isabella Rossi completed her cosmetic dentistry training in 2010.

What we should have said: Dr. Rossi completed AACD Accreditation in 2010. Her formal cosmetic-focused clinical training began in 2011 with the Kois Center.

What we changed: Corrected Dr. Rossi’s reviewer profile. Reviewed all other reviewer profiles for similar imprecise dating.

June 14, 2026 — Beverly Hills clinic wait time overstated

What we said: Smile Studio Beverly Hills has a 4-week new patient wait.

What we should have said: Smile Studio Beverly Hills has a 6-8 week new patient wait for cosmetic consultations. Our figure was accurate for general new patient exams but the specialty consultation queue is longer.

What we changed: Updated Smile Studio’s profile. Added a wait-time verification step to our audit rubric for all cosmetic-specialty listings.

May 3, 2026 — Delta Dental network claim, three clinics

What we said: Three Chicago clinics were listed as in-network with Delta Dental.

What we should have said: All three had exited Delta Dental’s network in the previous quarter. Our source (the clinic websites) was stale.

What we changed: Corrected all three listings. Added a quarterly insurance-network verification step against Delta, Cigna, and Aetna network APIs directly.

March 21, 2026 — Fabricated testimonial removed

What we said: Nothing yet — the testimonial was caught in our internal review before publication.

What we should have said: A drafted testimonial for a River Oaks clinic quoted a patient who could not be verified through the clinic’s records. We identified this in pre-publication review and pulled the quote.

What we changed: Reinforced our two-source testimonial verification requirement. Patient testimonials must be verified through the clinic’s own records with a signed release before publication.
