Medical review

How we verify every piece of content.

Every article, ranking, and cost estimate is written or reviewed by a licensed dentist. Here is exactly how the process works.

Why medical review matters

Family Dentistry Clinic falls under Google’s Your Money or Your Life (YMYL) content category. That designation means the information on our directory can affect a patient’s dental health, finances, and long-term wellbeing. It also means Google holds us to a higher accuracy standard than a typical review site — and rightly so.

To meet that standard, every article, ranking, cost estimate, and clinic assessment on this site is written or reviewed by a practicing licensed dentist on our editorial team. This page explains exactly how that review process works, who does it, and how you can verify the credentials of anyone whose name appears on our content.

Every piece of content, four checks

  • 01
Author checkEvery article is authored by either a licensed dentist on staff or a writer working under a specific dentist’s byline. The reviewing dentist’s name and credentials appear on the article.
  • 02
Clinical reviewA second licensed dentist — different from the author — reviews the article for clinical accuracy, evidence quality, and appropriate hedging on treatment claims.
  • 03
Fact-checkEvery statistic, price figure, and named citation is verified against its source by our fact-check team. See our fact-check methodology.
  • 04
Editorial sign-offBefore publication, the editorial team should confirm the sources and any completed clinical review. A reviewer should be credited only for work they have actually reviewed; check the individual article for its review attribution.

Verifying our reviewers

Our reviewer directory currently contains 20 published profiles across three listed categories: Dentist (9), Oral Surgery (9), and Oral Medicine (2). Profiles show supplied names, locations, specialties, schools, and graduation years. They do not establish current license status or board certification.

To independently check a reviewer’s credentials:

  1. Search their name or license number in the relevant state licensing registry and confirm the identity matches.
  2. Cross-check their education with the named school or an available official record.
  3. Check any claimed specialty certification with the issuing organization; a listed specialty is not proof of board certification.

If any of this fails or the numbers do not match, email us at Admin@familydentistryclinic.com. Profile information should be updated when a confirmed correction is received.

What we will not publish

Some content categories do not belong on this directory, and we will not publish them even under a licensed dentist’s byline:

  • Specific medical advice for individual patients. Our content answers general questions. It cannot replace a consultation with your own dentist for your specific situation.
  • Guaranteed treatment outcomes. No dental treatment has a guaranteed outcome. Any content that implies otherwise gets rewritten or pulled.
  • Endorsements of unproven treatments. Treatments without published clinical evidence get flagged in our fact-check as such. If a licensed dentist wants to advocate for a treatment that lacks evidence, they can — but the article carries a clear disclosure.
  • Sponsored content disguised as editorial. If a clinic pays us for anything — ever — that page carries a disclosure banner. See our editorial policy.
